Jen Brooks

The artist for Deathfist Ninja GKaiser is Jen (Jennifer) Brooks. She was born in 1984 in Provo, Utah and she grew up in a world of magical princesses and happy Disney movies. She spent much of her television time watching cartoons, as that was what interested her the most, though little did she know back then that her love for cartoons would be one of her biggest blessings.

In 1995 she stumbled upon the world premiere of the US version of the anime Sailor Moon and she's been hooked on anime ever since. Inspired by what she saw, she decided to start drawing in the Japanese anime/manga style. She had doodled prior to this, but she does not feel it was anything to be too proud of. Over the years she likes to think she's improved and done better every year since then.

In 1999 she created Studio Eternity with her best friend Alicia McHenry and they started their comic Blessed: The Saviors of our Future. Later, Jen's little sister Kelly and friend John would join the team. It was in October 2004 when Studio Eternity was first contacted about doing Deathfist Ninja GKaiser, but in the end it seemed the Jen needed to take out and do this one solo.

She recently got married in July 2004 to her husband Mike whom she had been dating for 6 years prior to the marriage. After growing up in "The Valley" in California she's settled down in Fort Meade, Maryland. She's very excited about how Deathfist Ninja GKaiser will turn out, as this is some of her first work alone and in more of a “shonen” style of artwork.

"Directed at Brad in my 5th grade class... You said I couldn't draw back then, look at me now."
